Pegawai Jabatan Hidupan Liar Daerah, Silvester Saimin berkata gajah jantan spesies Elephas maximus borneensis itu ditemui di sebuah anak sungai oleh pekerja ladang.
Silvester berkata, satu pasukan bedah siasat dari Unit Penyelamat Hidupan Liar (WRU) dan Jabatan Hidupan Liar Sabah (SWD) dikerah ke lokasi pada Rabu untuk tindakan lanjut.
