Kota Kinabalu: Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto (pic) said Sabah Football Club will be taking a very cautious approach in recruiting their foreign import players this season.

The Indonesian coach was specifically referring to the potential signing of former JDT top striker Jorge Pereyra Diaz who was the top scorer in the Super League with 18 goals in 2016 to beef up their squad.

The 30-year-old Argentine had scored a total of 55 goals in league and Cup matches from 78 appearances for JDT during his stay from 2014-2016 and also on his return to the same team in 2018.

He last played for Club Bolívar from Bolivia in the Bolivian Premier Division where he scored 19 goals from 36 appearances in the 2019 season.
