100kg croc caught in Keningau

KENINGAU: A two-metre long crocodile weighing 100kg, which shocked the residents of Kampung Titiku Pamalan Scheme here, was caught by a team from the Civil Defence Force (APM) and district Fire and Rescue Department.A village had lodged a complaint with APM at 1.05pm last Tuesday about the presence of the crocodile, which caused fears among the villagers.

The APM and Fire and Rescue team tracked down and caught the reptile hiding at the bottom of a pond with a trawler.
Keningau Zone Fire and Rescue Department Chief Yuzaimi Hairrul Azwan Juatan said the crocodile was taken to the Keningau Fire Station and handed over to the Wildlife Department for further action.
