Kota Kinabalu: About 20-30 per cent of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Sabah have either permanently or temporarily closed shop due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but not as bad as in the West Malaysia, according to SME Association of Sabah (SME Sabah) Founding President Foo Ngee Kee.

He said they were mostly in the tourism industry, adding in West Malaysia it is worse with about 50pc affected.
