Kota Kinabalu: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today announced Parliament will reconvene either in September or October.

Muhyiddin, in a national address, said Parliament will only reopen in the third phase of the national recovery plan.

He said said Malaysia will move into the said phase when Covid-19 cases are below 2,000, the public health system is in a more comfortable situation and 40% of the population is fully vaccinated.

The earliest this target may be achieved is by August end, he added.

Parliament and state legislative assembly sittings are currently suspended due to the ongoing state of Emergency.
