1. Steak & Frites @ Pound

The team at Pound restaurant in Jesselton Mall some of whom have even worked in Michelin star restaurants previously, have recently introduced their latest Steak & Frites dish.

It is a well-seasoned steak, laid on top of potato fries, served with a special chimichurri & pepper cream sauce. It is a considerably light bite for some that goes beautifully with a fine glass of red-wine.

You can also top-up this already perfect beef dish with a sunny-side up egg or a salad bowl. Meat of choice is either Black Angus rib eye or wagyu MB5 striploin and prices start from RM48.

2. Wagyu Katsu Sando @ Shangri-la Rasa Ria

Now open for dine-ins, Shangri-la Rasa Ria just introduced their Wagyu Katsu Sando – a crunch, panko-breaded fried cutlet of Australian Wagyu nestled between two buttery slices of toasted white bread, topped with tangy sauce.

Shangri-la Rasa Ria also has something special for beef lovers looking to have a celebration at home. They have recently introduced their perfectly seasoned, grilled and then baked Beef Wellington by Sous Chef Felicia from their Coast and Oceano Restaurant.

3. Ox-tail assam pedas pies @ Mosaic, Hyatt Regency Kinabalu

Hyatt Regency Kinabalu has just introduced their new pies and they come in a variety of flavors such as the famous ox-tail assam pedas, BBQ chicken, Shepherd’s pie, tiramisu and many more.

The signature Ox-Tail Assam Pedas is braised in a spicy-sour, fragrant stew, now served in a Pie baked in a golden flaky pastry crust is definitely one to try.
