LABUAN: A foreigner was killed in an accident at Jalan Pohon Batu, near Simpang Lajau 28, at 7pm, Sunday.Labuan Police Chief DSP Ahmad Jawila said the incident was reported by passers-by. He said the 47-year-old motorcyclist was found lying on the road and medical officers who arrived at the scene confirmed the victim had died on the spot.

“The victim was believed to be renting with his family in Kg. Patau-Patau 2 and is believed to be riding the motorcycle from the town center towards Pohon Batu.

“The victim slipped after hitting the right side of the road divider before crashing on a lamppost,” he said, adding that the victim was taken to the Labuan Nucleus Hospital Forensic Unit for autopsy.
