Kuala Lumpur: In conjunction with Aidiladha, the Kuwait Embassy here took the initiative to implement a Qurban Project that benefitted about 1,300 families in different parts of Malaysia.

The Embassy’s Chargé d’Affairs Muhammad Saud Al-Mutairi said in a statement issued here Tuesday this project comes within the framework of the Embassy’s annual humanitarian programs on the occasion of Aidiladha.

It is aimed at bringing joy and happiness to underprivileged families in Malaysia and is part of the ongoing programs and projects implemented by the State of Kuwait in Malaysia.

The Embassy directly supervised the conduct of the Qurban Project, following the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) set by the Malaysian government in light of the Movement Control Order (MCO).

In distributing the Qurban meat, the Embassy took into account the geographical spread by cooperating and coordinating with several local authorities approved by the Electronic System of Kuwaiti Humanitarian Works.

The Embassy also took into account the diversity of the segments of Muslim beneficiaries within the local communities.

This Project is initially launched by the Awqaf Affairs Board in the State of Kuwait, under the slogan “Kuwait is by your side.” This slogan is the brand identity of international Kuwaiti humanitarian work.
