Sabah's Covid caseload today remains high (497) despite few prison cluster cases

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah's new Covid-19 cases today remained high at 497 although the state's two prison major clusters contributed few cases to the day's caseload.

"Daily news cases remain very high, 497 today. Close contacts make up 48.3% of cases. Targeted screening in EMCO localities, 35 positive cases, 24 from Sandakan," said Sabah's spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun. 

"There are also 17 new cases from Kapayan (11) and Tawau (6) prisons. KK 133, Sandakan 60, Papar 50, Beaufort 47."
