Sabah infections soar to 712, over half close contacts

Kota Kinabalu: Close contacts account for more than half of Sabah's high Covid-19 caseload of 712 as Malaysia registered record-new cases today.

"All time high today! Sabah 712, Malaysia 15,902," said Sabah's spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun, on Twitter.

"No more zero-case districts in Sabah. Close contacts dominate new cases with 383 (53.8%) and 112 (15.7%) [from existing clusters] and two new clusters, Rumah Persekutuan KK and Kg Nosoob Baru.

"KK 161, Sandakan 98, Beaufort 72, Penampang 65."
