Sabah to set aside 8,000 acres for Tenom ‘green gold’
KENINGAU: The State Government has earmarked 8,000 acres between Tenom and Sipitang for planting the nutritious and sought-after avocado (pic) on a commercial scale.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor said this is among many ventures of the Government to promote economic growth in line with the Halatuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) aspiration.

“We are exploring as many development projects as possible, which will be catalysts for our economic growth,” he said, after a development briefing by Keningau District Officer Walter Kenson, Tuesday.
