Record 19,819 Covid-19 cases, over 10,000 in Klang valley

PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has reported a record high 19,819 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, just 181 short of breaching the 20,000 mark.
In a tweet, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of infections now stands at 1,183,110.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases with 8,377.
This was followed by Kuala Lumpur (2,467), Kedah (1,371), Johor (1,162), Kelantan (1,003), Sabah (949), Penang (867), Negeri Sembilan (800), Perak (662), Pahang (558), Sarawak (552), Melaka (508), Terengganu (481), Putrajaya (46), Perlis (11) and Labuan (5).
Both Kelantan and Penang registered a record high number of cases.
