Lahad Datu PPV receives good response from people

LAHAD DATU: The immunisation programme at the Dewan Sri Perdana Vaccination Centre (PPV) saw good response with some 1,000 residents turning up to receive their jabs.Segama Community Development Leader (PPM) Mizma Appehdullah said the response indicated the public’s awareness on the importance of getting vaccinated to curb the spread of Covid-19.

However, the PPV was reportedly congested with many turning up to get vaccinated, but Mizma assured that the system has been improved to ensure proper SOP compliance and a smoother vaccination process.
“We are aware of the congestion before this, as it raised concerns on Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) compliance among citizens present at the PPV.
“The orderliness at this PPV is the initiative of the officers involved. In this regard I want to convey my deepest appreciation to the Malaysian Health Ministry (MOH) who took note to manage and prioritise the issue.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

“Our efforts to reach herd immunity will definitely be faster and safer with such conditions. We don’t want the PPV to be a place where new clusters spark,” she said when visiting the PPV.

Additionally, Mizma stressed that the implementation of SOPs with strict monitoring and continuous improvement is a long-term effort that needs to be maintained at all times. “May such efforts enable us to achieve the targets expected by the Government,” she said.
