Search for missing man in Tuaran

Tuaran: A Search And Rescue (SAR) operation was activated Monday to locate a man who had been missing since Sept. 11 in Kg Giling here.

It is understood that Tuin Lohohan, 32, did not return home after leaving his house to enter the jungle at about 10am that day.

Tuaran District Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief, Abdul Qawie Abdul Gapar said his department received an emergency call at 12.22pm on Monday.

Three personnel, including the tracking dog unit (K9) went to the scene with an Isuzu D-Max four-wheel drive (4WD) utility vehicle.

“The team conducted the search for the victim around the route into the forest, we have yet to obtain any clues regarding the victim.

“In fact, his family did not even know the reason why the victim entered the forest,” he said.
