Application for easier payments
SESB customers can manage their dealings better through the newly-launched mySESB mobile application.

SESB CEO Datuk Abdul Nasser Abdul Wahid said the application is part of the company’s efforts to digitalise its services.

“The application is downloadable from Apple Store for iOS smartphone users or Google Play Store for Android smartphone users,” he said during the mySESB launch, Monday.

“Through the application, consumers can access their electricity supply account that is registered with SESB to check and make online payment without having to go the counters.”

The update would also be reflected instantaneously on the consumers’ accounts once payment was made, he said.

“The application will also enable consumers to make various transactions for registered accounts under the consumer’s name or his or her family member’s.

“Consumers can also get information about power safety and efficiency tips through the application,” he said.

Consumers can also submit an invitation to SESB to conduct Power Efficiency Programmes in their respective locations.

“The trend of customer’s monthly power usage can also be tracked through the mySESB and this can help them to plan their usage.

“Aside from obtaining information on power disruptions through SESB’s social media platform and SESB Careline, consumers can also get the latest update on any outages in their respective areas through mySESB.

“Complaints can also be channelled through mySESB and the complaint status can be monitored the application.”

Sometimes, he said, it is hard for consumers to go to SESB offices to seek information related to power supply due to various constraints.

“Now, all of these dealings can be done online through mySESB. From making new application, to account termination and metre transfers, all of them can be done through mySESB anytime, anywhere,” he said.

Also present were Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Chairman Datuk Seri Hasan Arifin and TNB President/CEO Datuk Baharin Din.
