Kota Kinabalu: The controversial Nature Conservation Agreement (NCA) involving the monetising of Sabah’s forest assets through carbon trading that saw a heated debate in the recent State Assembly sitting is now headed for the courts.
Former Senator and Orang Asal Rights Activist Adrian Lasimbang has filed a writ via Gloria Legal and named the Chief Conservator of Forests as first defendant and State Government as second defendant. The hearing is scheduled for Jan. 3, 2022, before High Court Judge Ismail Ibrahim.
