KOTA BELUD: Some 1,085 membership application were received by Deputy Chief Coordinator of Star Kota Belud, Awang Salleh from nine polling district Centers (PDM) in Kg Nahaba, here.Also present was former Kadamaian Assemblyman Jerry Malajad @ Ukoh who is also the Deputy Chief Coordinator of STAR Kota Belud and Head of Star Usukan Division, Mohd Lin Harun.

Awang Saleh said the people’s growing support for the party here could further strengthen the voice of President Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan in Parliament.
“Dr Jeffrey’s tireless struggle to demand the special rights of Sabah and Sarawak in the Malaysian Constitution must be supported by a stronger and more numerous voice in Parliament,” he said.
Earlier, Awang Saleh presented the prizes for the Kg Nahaba Home Yard Beauty Competition which was chaired by Gumparis Limban and attended by Assistant District Officer Abdul Wahab Sidek.
The competition was won by Maineh Sandi with a prize of RM1000, second Latifah Cison (RM500), third Jerry Laiti (RM300), fourth Sorini Musa (RM100) and fifth Sundikol Gibau (RM50).

The zone category was won by Sogit Sogit, followed by Sokid in second place and Siba in third place. Awang Saleh also presented rice donations to 80 senior citizens.
