700 Tuaran students get items

Tuaran: A total of 700 primary school students here received school bags and equipment under the “Back to School” Programme from Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor at the Dewan Pusat Kebudayaan Persatuan Rumpun Bajau Sama Sabah, Sunday.The programme was jointly organized by the Sabah Welfare Foundation, the Chief Minister’s Department and the Tuaran District Education Office.

Hajiji said the recipients of the school bags and equipment were from the underprivileged who were affected by Covid-19 and they were selected by the Tuaran District Education Office.
“With the assistance, we hope it can to some extent help reduce the burden of parents of students as the school session will open starting tomorrow (Jan 10)
Also present was the Minister of Special Tasks, Datuk Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif.
Meanwhile, in KOTA KINABALU, a total of 52 students received items during the Back To School Programme.

Tanjung Aru Community Development Leader Mohd Redzuan Datuk Aklee said the contribution was in conjunction with the reopening of the school session.
According to him, among the school students selected this time are 11 students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjung Aru 1, 10 students from SK Tanjung Aru 2, 10 students from SK Stella Maris, 11 students from SK Sembulan and 10 students from SK Pulau Gaya.

Among those present at the programme organized by Tanjung Aru Community Development at the Kg Sembulan Lama community hall were Native Chief, Yaakub Haris, Putatan Wanita Umno Chief and Kg Sembulan Village Chief Omar Baki Aliakbar.
