Kota Kinabalu: THE State Government is confident that the tourism sector will recover with the reopening of borders although the Covid-19 pandemic has affected global tourism, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor.
He said Sabah’s tourism industry had always outperformed industry expectations in the past years as it was the third largest sector for the State economy, contributing more than 10 per cent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with tourists coming from China, South Korea, Australia and Taiwan.
