South Korean named as new Harimau Malaya boss

PETALING JAYA: The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) have appointed Kim Pan-gon as the new head coach of Harimau Malaya.
This was announced by FAM president Hamidin Amin at a press conference at Wisma FAM, in Kelana Jaya today.
ADVERTISEMENT The South Korean is currently chief of the South Korean national team supervisory committee.
Kim holds the AFC Professional Football Coaching Diploma, the highest football coaching qualification in Asia.
His appointment comes just over two weeks after Tan Cheng Hoe resigned from his post as national head coach.
Cheng Hoe’s resignation follows Malaysia’s failure to progress to the semifinals of the 2020 AFF Cup, which was held last month.
