Kota Kinabalu: A 50-year-old woman fell to her death from the fourth floor of a building in Lintas about 35 minutes after she parked her car, Friday.

The victim who was in her uniform was a secretary at one of the kindergartens in Penampang.

She left behind her husband and two daughters.

A colleague of the victim told Daily Express she had worked at the school for 10 years and usually arrived at school at 7.30am.

But on the day of the incident, they were surprised that the victim was late.

They also claimed that she had expressed intention to commit suicide.

City Police Chief ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah, when contacted, said a call was received by the Luyang police station from a passer-by.

“The person said a woman was lying on her back after falling from the car park on the fourth floor of the building.

“Further investigation revealed that the victim, who was driving a Perodua Bezza, entered the parking area at 7.10am,” he said.

According to Mohd Zaidi, the Investigating Officer (IO), there were several injuries on the body believed due to the impact of the fall.

The case was classified as Sudden Death Rate (SDR).
