SANDAKAN: Sawit Kinabalu made a RM10,000 donation to Rumah Al-Yakin Sandakan Orphanage Centre.Deputy Chairman Andi Asmar Datuk Andi Yakin received it from Kumpulan Sawit Kinabalu Managing Director Datuk Bacho Jansie.
Rukmana Anshar, the Centre’s Head, and several Sawit Kinabalu officers and personnel were also present.

According to Bacho, the donation is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, which sees revenues shared with the public, particularly those in need.
Sawit Kinabalu has donated a total of RM100,000 to homes and bodies that provide shelter to the underprivileged.
This includes homes and bodies at Beaufort and Kudat in the west coast, as well as Tawau, Lahad Datu, and Sandakan in the east coast.

Apart from the orphanage visit, they also organised a breaking of fast ceremony at the Sabah Hotel with senior citizens from the Rumah Wargatua Sri Harapan Sandakan.
He said Sawit Kinabalu had recently given the Sabah Islamic Religious
Council (Muis) RM8 million in business zakat.
