Kota Kinabalu: The developer of a condominium project here, Investasia Sdn Bhd (ISB), said the main contractor for the project, NTSJ Construction (M) Sdn Bhd, should be the one paying construction workers who claim to have not received their salaries since last November since they are under the latter’s employ.
ISB, which is part of a group of companies of Singapore-based GSH Corporation Ltd, said in a statement, Friday, that in November 2018, ISB contracted the company as the project’s main contractor, with the goal of completing the project in 38 months, by December 2021.

ISB claimed that it consistently made timely payments to the main contractor and rendered goodwill assistance to ease the main contractor’s cash flow from January 2022 at their request by stopping the deduction of the agreed retention sums from payments to the main contractor.
