Five homes razed in Keningau

KENINGAU: Five houses in Kampung Kapayan Baru Apin-Apin, here, were destroyed in a fire last Saturday.

Keningau Fire and Rescue Department Zone Chief, Yuszaimi Hairrul Azwan Juatan, said the District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 5.19pm.

A team of 21 firefighters with machinery led by Operations Officer, Sharudy Delamin, rushed to the location some 23km away.

By the time the team arrived, the houses were completely razed.

“No casualty was reported and the operation ended at 8.46pm. The cause and losses are still under investigation,” he added.
