Kota Kinabalu: The six-month test run on Sabah’s first RM1.2 million electricity powered bus inaugurated Friday will gather data on how best to implement it as an effective integrated transportation system before fully launching it next year.

Dubbed ‘eBusKK’ undertaken by the Government’s investment arm, Qhazanah Sabah Berhad (QSB), its Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Rizal Dahli said the pilot test would enable QSB to determine its costing and determine suitable routes as well as payment systems.

The 54-seater eBusKK service is free of charge for the entire duration of the six-month pilot project. It will ply on a public transport route designated as Laluan eBusKK 101 or ‘Laluan Sepanggar 6B‘ from Monday to Thursday.
