Kota Kinabalu: Federation of Sabah Industries (FSI) will organise a Junior Badminton Championship here in the State sometime in August.

Former badminton great Datuk Foo Kok Keong, who was appointed as FSI’s ambassador by its president Richard Lim, in a statement released on Wednesday said that the tournament in partnership with Kota Kinabalu City Hall will be held in conjunction with City Hall’s programme.

Meanwhile, he also expressed his gratitude to FSI for the appointment.

“It is indeed an honour to be appointed by FSI as the Ambassador. I believe under the leadership of Richard Lim, FSI will continue to grow further to serve the interests of its members and to foster a closer working relationship between the businesses with the government,” he said.

He added that he will help to promote and invite industrial players in Kuala Lumpur through FSI’s representative office in Mid Valley to join as members and to encourage them to invest in Sabah.
