Sabah records slight drop in Covid cases

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s caseload dipped slightly to 154 on Thursday from 163 the day earlier, with 78 per cent of infections being sporadic, said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.He said Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 72 cases, followed by Penampang (29), Sandakan (12), Kudat (11) and Papar (6).

“Eight districts recorded a decrease in infections while six recorded an increase.
“Two districts recorded a significant decrease, namely Penampang (-10) and Kota Kinabalu (-7). Three districts recorded a spike, namely Kudat (+9), Sandakan (+5) and Beaufort (+5).
“A total of 14 districts recorded zero infections, including four that registered new cases the day earlier,” said Masidi in a statement, Thursday.
Masidi said 151 out of 154 cases were category one and two infections, while one case was each recorded in category three, four and five.

No deaths or new clusters were identified.
