KOTA KINABALU: No words can fully describe Sabahan singer-songwriter Arddley Nicholas’ feelings when he was announced the winner of the Best Vocal Performance in a Song (Male) category for “Pilu”, at the 23rd Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM23), Sunday.
With this historic achievement, the 31-year-old music teacher from Tambunan became the first male Sabahan vocalist to win the category in the prestigious national music award show.

“The win cannot be explained in words as it is such a surprise and has a huge meaning in my life,” he told the Daily Express.
“It would be tough for me to find words to describe my feelings. All I can say is that I was euphoric when the result was announced.”
For the category, Arddley came out on top against four other finalists – Hafiz Suip for “Takluk Cinta”, Alif Satar & The Locos (Anugerah Terindah), Syamel (Bila Kau Tiada), and Xpose (Jejak).
