Kota Kinabalu: A man texted his fiance of plans to commit suicide at his University Condo Apartment Tuesday morning, forcing the woman to despatch her brother to check on him.The 35-year-old also shared pictures of a makeshift noose from a ceiling fan at 8am while she was working at a hospital here.ADVERTISEMENT
Upon finding the house empty, her brother alerted authorities via MERS999. City police Chief, ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said the Fire and Rescue Department were the first on the scene.
However, the 27-year-old man they were looking for was not around.
“The man left behind a suicide note and a makeshift noose made out of tied-up clothes hanging from a ceiling fan.
“The case has been handed over to the police for further action,” a spokesperson for the department said.ADVERTISEMENT
City police Chief, ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said a police report has been lodged.
