Patient falls to death at Kota Kinabalu hospital

Preliminary findings showed that the man succumbed to serious injuries despite efforts by paramedics to revive him.
Kota Kinabalu: A patient fell to his death from the 11th floor of a hospital, here, Wednesday, police confirmed.The 65-year-old Chinese from Tawau was said to have checked into the ward a day earlier. A hospital visitor heard the hospital’s Code Blue alert at about 10am.

He asked a medical staff what was happening and was told that a patient had fallen from the 11th floor of the premises.
It is understood the patient landed on the sixth floor as medical staff rushed to provide assistance.
City Police Chief ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said police were alerted about the incident at about 10.15am.
Preliminary findings showed that the man succumbed to serious injuries despite efforts by paramedics to revive him. The man was pronounced dead at 10.10am.

The case has been classified as sudden death.
