Allowing Dr Mahathir to lead was big mistake - Pakatan
Simsudin (left) disagreed with Khairuddin on the matter, saying that the collapse was due to the “Sheraton move” back in 2020 and Dr Mahathir’s (right) failure to keep his promise in handing over the premiership to Anwar.
Kota Kinabalu: Pakatan Harapan (PH) made the huge mistake of appointing former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as its leader as he was the cause of the PH Government’s collapse in 2020, said PKR Secretary-General Simsudin Sidek.

He said this in response to Parti Warisan Information Chief Khairuddin Daud who reportedly said that PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s yearning to become Prime Minister (PM) was the reason for the PH Government’s collapse. On Monday, Khairuddin said PKR supposedly knew that PH’s downfall resulted from an internal turmoil, saying that PKR’s fixation in getting Anwar to be PM caused PH to lose focus in implementing its election manifesto and hence, become unstable.
