Kota Kinabalu: The Chambers of Commerce here welcomed the recent appointment of “local boy” Rithuan Mohd Ismail as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Labuan Corporation (LC), succeeding Dr Fary Akal Osman who had been re-assigned to a post in the peninsula.

National Malay Chamber of Commerce (Labuan Division) President Datuk Suhaili Abdul Rahman described the move as “historical”, saying Rithuan is the right pick for the job in the lead agency.

"I am optimistic that he (Rithuan) will not be a let down and discharge his new responsibilities competently as Rithuan has served in administration of LC for more than two decades.”
