Advice to SPM school leavers
Hj Samin said studying at KTYS is also cost effective with appropriate funding by Yayasan Sabah to students concerned in the State Government’s quest to produce more skilled human capital.
Kota Kinabalu: Yayasan Sabah College of Technology (KTYS) Chief Executive Hj Samin Hj Ongki urged SPM school leavers to excel in their future careers through programmes and courses offered at the college.

He said studying at KTYS is also cost effective with appropriate funding by Yayasan Sabah to students concerned in the State Government’s quest to produce more skilled human capital.

“KTYS continues to excel in this regard,” he said, in conjunction with the ongoing Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Convocation.

Putri Nur Izzatul Ajwa Binti Basri, a Computer Science Diploma (Information Technology) graduate who took the KTYS - UTM collaboration programme proved  Sabahans were equally capable when she was selected to receive the Dean’s Award.

The farmer’s daughter from Kota Belud studied for three years at KTYS.

Samin hoped Putri’s exemplary success would motivate other Sabah students.

Four Diploma programmes are offered under the KTYS-UTM strategic collaboration programme, namely Diploma in Computer Science (Information Technology), Diploma in Real Estate, Diploma in Technology Management and Diploma in Technology Management (Accounting).
