Search launched for Tenom man

Tenom: District Fire and Rescue personnel together with other security agencies launched a search and rescue (SAR) operation for a man who was feared to have fallen from the Padas bridge, Wednesday morning.The State Operations Centre received a call at 10.26am and a team consisting 16 members led by Operations Officer Mohd Zainal Sinsian conducted a search operation together with the Police, Civil Defence, Rela and the Malaysian Armed Forces personnel at the location.

SAR operations were carried out around the location where the victim was reported missing using a boat. The identity of the victim has not been obtained yet.
Meanwhile, in Keningau two semi-permanent double-storey houses were destroyed in an afternoon fire at Kampung Masak here.
The District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 12.58pm and a total of 12 firemen led by Operations Officer, Sharudy Deliman rushed to the location with machinery.
The head of operation reported that there was an malevictim with minor injuries who was given initial treatment by the EMRS team and sent to Keningau hospital. The operation ended at 1.50pm.
