KOTA BELUD: Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said rural tourism can be developed as small and medium enterprises in villages.Accordingly, he urged communities or rural tourism operators to establish cooperatives and get tourism enterprise licence to facilitate the ministry in channelling appropriate assistance.

“Many people, groups, individuals, and cooperatives in Kadamaian run rural tourist businesses, however some of them still operate without a tourism enterprise licence.
“To make it easier for agencies in my ministry to channel funds or financial assistance to tourism operators, it would be better if they had tourism cooperatives in their respective villages.
