KENINGAU: The Society for Deaf Keningau branch is appealing to the public for donations to sustain its operations, especially its education centre for the deaf.

According to one of its educators, Francisca Albert Jali, the center set up its own building in 2018 and has produced employable human capital with its former students gaining jobs in the private sector and venturing independently into agriculture, mechanics, business and handicrafts.

She said students at the centre are mostly children who participate in pre-school and basic language classes that will help them advance towards special needs classes in secondary school.
