Sarawak becomes storehouse of Borneo cultures: Dying Kalimantan crafts showcased at museum

KUCHING: Eye-catching crafts were on display during the Serumpun event in Borneo Cultures Museum here, including from Jagoi district in West Kalimantan (Indonesia).

The production head Pak Sujianto, 42, said it had been challenging to get his community to continue with craft work, considering it received less interest and participation from the younger generation.

Fourtunately, there are still many among the older community who continue practising the weaving and crafting tradition.
