Unhappy over construction of temple in Sandakan neighbourhood
Fui Fui was also informed that the house owner is said to be demolishing the residential unit next to his house and convert it into a temple building.
SANDAKAN: The Batu DAP Sapi Parliamentary  Coordinator and Sabah DAP Social Welfare Bureau Chief, Liau Fui Fui, hopes that the local authorities will look into the construction of a temple by a house owner in Taman Sibuga, here.

This includes giving justification and appropriate decisions for the good of all parties regarding the matter.

“We received a complaint from a resident of Taman Sibuga that he did not agree with the construction of a temple in the neighbourhood next to his house which is now uninhabited,” she said.

Fui Fui was also informed that the house owner is said to be demolishing the residential unit next to his house and convert it into a temple building.

“A temple is a place where many people visit and it should be in a more open or spacious area for that purpose.”

Furthermore, the condition of the road in Taman Sibuga is very narrow and unsuitable for vehicles to stop or park olong the side of the road.

It was also feared that congestion would occur if many visitors patronise the temple.

“I have given advice and suggestions to convey this complainant’s objection by writing to the local authority for further action,” she said.

“Residents or homeowners have the right to speak up to give their opinions on issues that affect them,” she added.
