Sabah PKR chief hails Liew, Phoong made Ministers

KENINGAU: Chairman of the State Leadership Council (MPN) of Keadilan Sabah, Datuk Sangkar Rasam welcomed the appointment of two Pakatan Harapan (PH) State Assembly Members in the new Sabah State Cabinet.They are Api-Api assemblywoman Datuk Christina Liew appointed as Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, and Luyang Assemblyman Phoong Jin Zhe appointed as Minister of Industrial Development.

He said their appointment and participation in the new Cabinet can stabilise the government and the state can then focus on the development of Sabah for the welfare of the people.
“There needs to be an understanding and cooperation so development can be channelled well, can be distributed equally and not disappoint other parties,” he said when at the Appreciation Ceremony for the Inauguration of Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia at a hotel in Keningau on Wednesday.
He hoped that more allocations and development could be channelled to rural areas, especially in the Keningau and Pensiangan Parliamentary areas as there were so many developments to be carried out to ensure the well-being of rural communities.
