KENINGAU: A non-permanent warehouse near a timber factory located at Mile 27, here, was destroyed in a Friday evening fire.The District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 6.15 pm and deployed 17 firemen led by Operation Commander Sharudy Delamin to the scene.
The Fire Brigade acted to control the fire using two streams of 200 feet four fountains and water source from machinery tanks and water tankers.

There were no casualties and the operation ended at 9.59pm.
Meanwhile, in TENOM, a pedestrian died in a road accident at Tenom-Keningau Friday night.
Tenom Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 8.46am and a five-member team led by Operation Commander Saony Saimin rushed to the scene with machinery.
Also at the scene were officers from the police and the Ministry of Health (MOH) Tenom. A man in his 50s was hit and died at the scene.

The Fire Brigade handed over the victim to the police for further investigation. The operation ended at 9.22pm.
In TAMBUNAN, a man was injured in the leg when the motorcycle he was riding crashed on Wednesday night.
The District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 10.53 pm and nine firemen led by Operation Commander Selverinus Sixtus rushed to the location with machinery.
The victim was given initial treatment by the firefighters before being sent to Tambunan Hospital in EMRS vehicle. The operation ended at 11.12 pm.
