Over the moon: Buzz Aldrin marries 'longtime love'

WASHINGTON: Former Nasa astronaut Buzz Aldrin, 93, has married for the fourth time, reported the German Press Agency (dpa).

"I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr Anca Faur & I have tied the knot," Aldrin wrote on Twitter in the early hours of Saturday.

"We were joined in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles & are as excited as eloping teenagers."

Aldrin has been married three times before and has three children.

As an astronaut, Aldrin set foot on the moon in 1969 as part of the Apollo 11 mission, the second man after Neil Armstrong to do so.
