Kota Kinabalu: Civilians managed to stop a 63-year-old woman from taking her life at a hotel in Kg Air, here, Tuesday.This is the second suicide attempt reported within 24 hours in Kg Air.
In the latest incident, firefighters led by Abdul Majid Damang rushed to the scene following a 4.45pm distress call.

Members of the public had already brought the woman down to safety from the first floor of the premises by the time the team arrived.
The operation ended at 5pm after the team made sure the situation was safe. The woman has been handed over to police for further action.
On Monday, a woman climbed the scaffolding of a business premises along Jalan Laiman Diki in Kg Air.

Firefighters led by Penny Johnny were deployed to the scene following a 9.44am distress call.
The operation ended at 10.06am after the team manage dto persuade the woman to come down.
