Nationwide national unity week in May
Aaron said his Ministry is now actively planning an action plan for programmes implementation to fuel the spirit of unity.
Kota Kinabalu: National unity week will be held simultaneously nationwide in May. National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said the programme’s aim is to fuel the spirit of unity among Malaysians.

“This celebration will last for a week involving the collaboration of various government agencies, private and non-governmental organisations and will be filled with various beneficial programmes such as exhibitions and talks.

“I hope through collaborative activities like this, the spirit of unity can be further enhanced in line with the principles in the Rukun Negara,” he told the media after the Meeting and Mandate with Employees of the Sabah State Unity Ministry, here.

Aaron said his Ministry is now actively planning an action plan for programmes implementation to fuel the spirit of unity.

“Various programmes are designed and it is hoped that they can increase awareness of the people of multiple races on how important unity is for a harmonious, prosperous and stable country,” he added.

Also present were Community Development and People’s Welfare Minister Datuk James Ratib, Secretary General of the Ministry of National Unity, Datuk Indera Noridah Abdul Halim, Secretary of the Policy and Strategic Division of the Ministry of National Unity, Mohamad Sobri Mat Daud, Director of JPNIN Sabah, Delin Liet Blaun, and Director Sabah Archives Department and W.P Labuan, Mohamad Sharizal Omar.

About 200 employees of the Ministry of Unity of the State of Sabah from the Department of National Unity and National Integration (JPNIN) of the State of Sabah, the Department of Archives of the State of Sabah and the National Library of Malaysia State of Sabah attended the event.
