Wilayah maritim Sabah harus diperluas melebihi 200 batu nautika: Yong

Yong berkata bahawa SAPP sedang mengusahakan keselamatan tenaga sebagai tambahan kepada keselamatan wilayah.
Kota Kinabalu: Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP) menyokong kuat keputusan Ketua Menteri untuk menentang Akta Laut Wilayah 2012 (Akta 750), yang menyekat keupayaan Sabah untuk menguatkuasakan undang-undang Sabah melebihi had tiga batu nautika dan mengehadkan wilayah maritim kepada tiga batu nautika.
“SAPP berpandangan bahawa wilayah maritim kita harus diperluaskan melebihi 200 batu nautika selaras dengan Perintah Borneo Utara dalam Majlis 1954,” kata Presidennya Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee. SAPP menentang Akta 750 sejak 2018, menurut Yong, yang turut memuji Ketua Menteri Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor atas pendirian tegasnya dalam mempertahankan hak Sabah.
