PAPAR: The vigorous upcoming new Parklane City, Parklane Condominium and Parklane Villa in Benoni will certainly boost the district’s development here.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah & Sarawak Affairs and Special Tasks) Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said he was pleased to acknowledge the new project of a reputable company being developed here which directly benefit the local communities and growth of businesses.

Armizan who is also Papar Member of Parliament thanked WSG Group Managing Director Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen for constructing a mixed development project of Parklane to Benoni.

“Datuk Susan Wong briefed me on ongoing construction of the project as well as incoming well-branded eateries such as McDonald, A&W and a flagship cinema, among others, that will be operating within this year.

“But I am very delighted to note that over a thousand vacancies will be created by many businesses in Parklane City and I am calling on the Papar people especially youths to grab such opportunities.

“This positive progress is commendable as the project brings various jobs that will be available to the Papar people and at the same time meet the needs and wants of the public.

“I am looking forward to seeing these developments materialise as I am sure the Papar people are feeling the same way as I am also from Papar,” he said to Daily Express when visiting the company’s Benoni Show Gallery at Benoni Commercial Centre (BSS) here, recently.

Also present were Papar Assistant Collector Land Revenue (PPHT) Patricia Felix Jumin and other officials.

Armizan also expressed his gratitude to Susan who received the Best Town Developer Award from Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Shareda) for choosing the district for  the new project and boosting the development here that will create economic spin-offs for the benefit of the people.

He said the branded eateries to be opened in Parklane City would make Papar well-known to people from Lawas and Miri, Sarawak and Brunei Darussalam who travel by road to go to Kota Kinabalu. Meanwhile, Susan said Parklane City is poised to become a commercial hub here that will cater for various needs of consumers. Apart from upcoming eateries and retail businesses, she said a hotel and a shopping mall are in the pipeline in Parklane City as well as commercial banks and private clinics.

On the other hand, she said a 64 two-storey shoplots now under construction are expected to be completed by this July while Phase 1 of 90 units under Parklane Villa double-storey terrace houses will be completed in August and another 90 units to be completed next year.
