Upgrade of Sook into district awaited: Minister

Arthur said among the factors that were given special attention in the study presented by IDS Sabah was that the Sook area has an increasing number of residents and settlement areas.
KENINGAU: Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup hopes the state government will agree to upgrade Sook Sub-District as a full district.“I hope that the State Cabinet can give due consideration and approve the recommendation to upgrade Sook Sub-District to a full district.
“I believe that if this matter can be realised, it will further facilitate the planning and implementation of development for the well-being of the people in the Pensiangan Parliamentary Constituency as well as contribute to the economic development and well-being of Sabah,” he said in his statement here, recently.
