Bodies of boy and man reported missing found

Tuaran: A 13-year-old boy reported missing while bathing in Sungai Togot, Kampung Rungus Nahaba, Tamparuli, was found drowned Friday afternoon.Tuaran Fire and Rescue Station Chief Abdul Qawie Abdul Gapar said the victim was found about 4.30pm by villagers.

He said the Fire Department received an emergency call at 1.13pm and sent five firefighters to the location some 60km away.
The victim was confirmed dead by the Ministry of Health (KKM).
“The fire brigade carried the victim’s body using a stretcher out of the river area before handing it over to the police for further action,” said Abdul Qawie.
In KINABATANGAN, the body of a man reported missing at Kg Bengkala Buang Sayang Suan Lamba recently has been found.

Alner Kalim, in his 20s, went missing after going to the river to test his boat at Sungai Kg Bengkala, about 11am, last Tuesday.
His body was found on Thursday by villagers some 6km from where he was reported missing.

The body was transported by villagers to the village jetty and handed it over to the police for further action.
Villagers initially discovered the man’s empty capsized boat and informed the authorities which then launched a search and rescue operation.
The operation involved the Fire and Rescue Department, Civil Defence Force, police, Rela and villagers.
