Free fogging service in Sandakan to curb dengue

SANDAKAN: Sandakan Member of Parliament, Vivian Wong, launched a programme to eradicate Aedes mosquitoes in the district in an effort to curb the spread of dengue.Vivian said the programme was to assist the District Health Office.ADVERTISEMENT
She said through the programme they would provide free fogging service for the residents.
Members of the public can inform the Parliamentary Service Centre via WhatsApp (0108073313) should they need the service. They need to state their name, contact number and address and their situation so fogging could be carried out.
The head of the Action Unit of the Democratic Action Party, Chin Yee Kent would lead the unit to carry out fogging works with the guidance of a member of the DAP action unit, Liew Jiun Vui. The objective of the operation is to ensure that the residential areas are dengue-free.

“The residents of Sandakan should be careful and continue to ensure that the environment remained clean and free of Aedes mosquito breeding places.
“Any area that can stagnate and cause the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes needs to be carefully checked for the safety of your family,” she said.
