Asean-China scholarship programme is now open for application

Kota Kinabalu: The Asean-China Young Leaders Scholarship Programme (ACYLS) is now open for application.

The ACYLS was established in 2019 by the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Asean to increase people-to-people exchanges, strengthen educational cooperation and promote academic exchanges and linkages between Asean and China.

Funded by the Asean-China Cooperation Fund (ACCF), the programme provides a rare and unique opportunity for Asean professionals and future leaders to enrich their knowledge, broaden their horizon, develop work skills, and improve their competitiveness, while enhancing their life experiences by living in China.

The 2023 intake of ACYLS will provide support for Asean nationals to pursue the following study programmes in top universities in China:

Master’s study – 2-3 academic years
Doctoral study – 3-4 academic years
Short-term research programmes – 4-5 months

Eligible candidates from across Asean will be selected for each master, doctoral, and short-term research program and provided with full scholarships covering the following expenses: (i) tuition and other school fees, (ii) accommodation, (iii) round-trip international air fare, (iv) comprehensive medical insurance, and (v) stipends.

Interested applicants are requested to register online and submit their applications, including relevant documents, by March 31 through http://www.campuschina.org by clicking on

“Scholarship Application for Students”. Copies of the application form and relevant documents should also be submitted to Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Kota Kinabalu by email to [email protected]
