Three women among four seriously injured in separate road accidents

KENINGAU: Four people, including three women, were seriously injured in two separate road accidents in Nabawan and Tambunan on Saturday.In an accident that occurred near the Tomposison school in Sapulut, Nabawan, three people were seriously injured, including two women, when the Isuzu Dmax vehicle they were travelling skidded.

The Sook Fire and Rescue Station which received the call at 7.42am rushed to the scene some 62km away with seven members led by Operation Commander, Obbie Wilson and machinery.
The Operation Commander reported that in the incident, there were three victims, a man aged 31 and two women aged 30 and 37 were seriously injured.
Firefighters gave initial treatment to the victims and were taken to the Keningau hospital in an ambulance. The operation ended at 9.50am.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old woman was seriously injured when the Proton Saga vehicle skidded at the shoulder of the road at Kampung Keranaan in Tambunan.

Tambunan Fire and Rescue Station received the call at 8.12pm and rushed to the location with nine members led by Operation Commander, Tony Sipin.
According to the Operations Commander’s report, the victims were removed from the vehicle by members of the public before firefighters arrived and were given initial treatment by the EMRS team.

The victim was then sent to hospital using EMRS for further treatment and the operation ended at 8.27pm.
